Hello Explorers and welcome to our Get to Know article on MutantZ Gen 1. In this edition we will take a close look at MutantZ and their first generation of NFTs. MutantZ is the debut NFT collection from SNTNT Studios (pronounced Sentient). MutantZ is looking to be the first 10 generation NFT collection that will begin with a retro style. As you can imagine, there is a lot to get into so we will dive right in. We will start with their innovative multi-generation vision, mint details and finally their ambitious roadmap moving forward.

Generational NFT

As mentioned above, MutantZ is a 10 generation NFT collection. With Gen one, the art style is reminiscent of the old arcade game Galaxian. Every subsequent generation will become more artistically advanced and visually developed. The NFTs are also not limited to only pictures, There are talks of having a soundtrack or motion for future generations. The possibilities to what these MutantZ NFTs will become are endless. The first generation is quite small and limited but following generations will grow in volume as well. A large part of the revenue generated by previous generations will go towards hiring a more influential artist for the next generation of MutantZ. If the retro style doesn’t fit your taste, you can always mint a later generation that piques your interest. You can even check a teaser of Gen 2 that the teams have published in their social channel (and below). Gen 1 will automatically give you an automatic WL (white list) for the immediate following generation.

There is also a chance to become a Mad Scientist. The Mad Scientist is a very limited, and applications have been officially closed, title that will grant you an airdrop of every generation of MutantZ for free. Yes, you will get 10 NFTs for free (one for every generation). The Mad Scientist role will be validated by a Mad Scientist NFT that can be traded in the marketplace.

Mint

Now for the details of the MutantZ gen 1 mint.

MutantZ will mint on Luart, March 15th. The total supply will run at 1,000 NFTs available at 49 UST each.

There are a couple details to the mint that are worth mentioning. First, 395 MutantZ will be reserved for Mad Scientist, 40 reserved for Mad Scientist tokens for giveaways, partners and studios, 565 reserved for WL and the general public. Second, there are 3 phases to the mint. The first phase is for the Mad Scientist and each will be allocated 1 MutantZ per wallet containing a Mad Scientist token. The second phase will be for anyone on the WL and will also be limited to 1 NFT per wallet. The last phase is the public mint and due to the limited amount of supply, this too will have the limitation of one mint per wallet. This means that a person who has managed to get a Mad Scientist token will be able to mint up to 3 MutantZ NFTs in one wallet.

As we can see, MutantZ has an extensive roadmap that will continuously deliver value to existing and new holders. MutantZ is building their treasury to commission a new influential artist on each Generation, which will help diversify the entire Terra NFT ecosystem. This is the first project of its kind on the Terra Network.

Creative decisions will be put to vote so everyone has their say about the future of the collection. The community becomes a creative hub where anyone can post ideas, artists, and stories, that could steer the project in different creative directions. MutantZ brings a new way for NFT holders to interact directly with the development of the project. With a long term plan, it will be a very exciting Roadmap to be a part of and watch develop.
